My dad thinks I am too young to date.I am 14 years old and have never dated before. He won’t even let me text the guy I like. He took my phone away. For my 14 birthday this other guy gave me a ring. My dad said it was inappropriate for a guy to give a girl jewelry (a ring).Now the guy I really like thinks I am mad at him but I am not! Is my dad over reacting or am I?
Whoa, a ring? You’re fuckin 14! Why the fuck is a boy buying you a ring?!! I hope you gave it back and asked for something more appropriate like a fuckin Hannah Montana bag!! Look, you’re dad isn’t overreacting. You’re just too young to see what’s wrong here. Guys get girls jewelry to confess their love or wife you down. So unless he bought you a plastic, 50 cent ring, it’s not an appropriate birthday gift at all (and his dad shoulda told him that). You’ll understand it when you’re older, but it’s not okay and you should be overreacting, too. You’re dad’s been around the block and knows exactly what that ring means and it’s not I Love You, girl (i means I Wanna Fuck, duh!!!). Listen to your dad, you’ll be better off. Guys have a sixth sense when it comes to competition and your dad doesn’t wanna lose his baby girl at 14, that’s all. Think about it in your dad’s point-of-view: that boy might as well have bought you lingerie and a vibrator.
